A Wellness Philosophy
- We
know that every person has the capacity for wellness.
- We
know that Disease affects the entire person, not just a specific organ or
system.
- The
ability and capacity for self-healing is inherent in everyone.
- Nature
acts in a natural, powerful, and profound manner between the Body, Mind,
and Spirit to restore balance when disharmony or disease occurs.
- In a
healthy person, balance is usually quickly restored.
- Sometimes
when the healing capacities of the Body, Mind, and Spirit are compromised
or overwhelmed, outside assistance is beneficial.
- We use
natural therapies to support the healing process that stimulate the body's
natural healing capacities.
- Every
person is unique and responds best to individualized care.
- In
developing a treatment plan to address the cause and effect of any condition, we take into account not only
the specific physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual symptoms, but also
the person who has the symptoms.
- Thoughts,
emotions, lifestyle, family history, environmental stresses, nutritional
status and general physical state are all carefully evaluated.
- Wellness
is a Choice and is more than just the absence of disease.
- Optimum
health entails daily functioning in harmony with our Body, Mind, and
Spirit.
- Expressing
freely positive emotions, thoughts and actions are signs of wellness.
- ÒIn an
ideal sense, well being is the condition of living consciously and fully -
to the degree we are able. When we embrace the state of wellness, we
accept responsibility for our own existence - our own physical, emotional,
psychological and spiritual health. In a broader sense, wellness is a
feeling of connectedness with ourselves, our community and our
environment, and begins with a decision to live each day actively and productivelyÉ.Ó
